Norman Manea is the Francis Flournoy Professor of European Culture and writer-in-residence at Bard College. As a child, Manea was deported to Transnistria by the Romanian fascist government, and in 1986 he went into exile from Ceausescu's dictator

As in years past, we will be highlighting all 25 titles on the BTBA Fiction  four prose books, including How to Read a Poem and Fall in Love Acclaimed Romanian émigré writer Norman Manea has been a member of the Bard faculty.
